What is Towson Fitness?

At Towson Fitness, we do “all the things” – we jump, run, row, swing, push, pull, throw, climb, lift light and fast and heavy and slow (and sometimes heavy and fast).  This constant variation is paired with teaching functional movements at high intensity so YOU can get better at everything you do, both in and out of the gym!

We are not a specialized fitness program – we deliberately do not specialize, instead working on ways to build competence in each of ten recognized physical domains:

  • Cardiovascular and respiratory endurance
  • Stamina
  • Strength
  • Flexibility
  • Power
  • Speed
  • Coordination
  • Agility
  • Balance
  • Accuracy

Our members improve in all aspects of fitness, often leading to life-changing physical, mental and health improvements and outcomes.  Fitness + community = a healthier, fitter and happier you!

Is Towson Fitness for me?

Our members range in age from 16 to 80+ and come from all walks of life.  We have doctors, lawyers, teachers, nurses, EMTs, firefighters, stay-at-home parents and entrepreneurs in our ranks.  Some are former collegiate athletes and some have never touched a barbell before walking through our doors.  But they all come in to do the work and “B-More Than They Were Yesterday.”

No matter where you are in life, no matter your fitness level or experience, Towson Fitness will help you become a stronger, fitter, and healthier version of you. And you’ll have fun and meet some great people while doing it!

We are experts at modifying workouts and movements to accommodate just about all fitness levels, injury history or medical condition, so don’t hesitate to get started with us today!

What is a class like?

Our classes last about an hour, and all include a group warm up and a Workout of the Day (WOD).  Our weekday classes also include a strength or skill portion, while our weekend classes feature a longer WOD.
