The Towson Fitness prescription is performing “functional movements that are constantly varied at high
intensity.” Our specialty is not specializing. Towson Fitness is not a specialized fitness program, but
a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains.
They are as follows:

We strive to achieve competence in the above domains using weightlifting, running, and
gymnastics components.
Yes. Whether you are a beginning exerciser or a highly-trained athlete, you will benefit from
Towson Fitness classes at Towson Fitness. We have exceptionally qualified coaches on staff to assist
you with your workout. Any prescribed movement may be modified, or scaled, to suit the
athlete.
Each class here at Towson Fitness consists of a strength or skill portion in which a coach
demonstrates the movement and personally assists the athletes in performing them. Then, the
class will execute the “workout of the day” or “WOD.” The WOD may be performed for time or
rounds/reps. Scores are kept on our community whiteboard.
